Chuck & Don’s Pet Food & Supplies Donates $28,000 to Mount Saint Vincent

DENVER, Colo., May 10, 2017 – Mount Saint Vincent, a leading provider of clinical treatment for children facing severe emotional or behavioral challenges due to trauma, mental illness, abuse, or neglect, announced it received a donation of $28,200 from Chuck & Don’s Pet Food & Supplies. The donation was the result of the retailer’s “Paw Print” fundraising campaign, an annual event benefiting local animal-based nonprofit organizations. The majority of the funds raised came through individual store customers; an additional percentage was made through a company donation.

Last fall, managers from each the ten Colorado Chuck & Don’s stores collectively chose Mount Saint Vincent as the fundraiser’s beneficiary. The nonprofit’s robust animal-assisted program is an integral part of the therapeutic care provided to the children in treatment there. “Our goal is to stretch the funds to make as large an impact on our animal-assisted program as possible,” said Director of Development Kay Mcdowell. “Time and time again, we’ve seen the amazing positive impact animals have on our children.”

“Partnering with a nonprofit like Mount Saint Vincent not only helps us continue our mission to support local nonprofits, it also makes a difference in our community,” said Heather Ratynski, Marketing and Community Relations–Colorado for Chuck & Don’s Pet Food & Supplies. “We are honored to help the children and staff of Mount Saint Vincent.”
