Mount Saint Vincent specializes in helping children who are experiencing social and emotional problems. We utilize the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), a nationally recognized model of trauma-informed care that has been shown to be effective in treating children who have experienced abuse, trauma, or neglect.
When children are not responding to outpatient treatment, residential treatment can be effective. We understand the vulnerabilities and underlying concerns of adoptive parents and families. We facilitate a residential program that is safe, highly structured, and nurturing. At Mount Saint Vincent, we encourage family involvement and participation in treatment by utilizing Skype and welcoming regular family visits.
